Poems and prose.

Yup, poems. You read that right.

I’ve always written poetry, ask Clarkie if you don’t believe me. So I thought; “Why not inflict them on anyone stupid enough to click on a link?”

I don’t consider them great, but I do enjoy writing this sort of stuff. You may notice that they change too, I’m forever rewriting them, altering words lines, taking bits out, sticking new bits in. In the main they are about places, mainly nostalgic, and sometimes sad. I’m like that me. Like my alleged “music”, I’ll be adding them as and when.

Feedback is welcomed, insults expected, piss taking tolerated with resigned ennui.

Catherine and I were just reading your poetry. She feels the Celt connection very strongly even though I carefully explained to her what a moody miserable bugger you really are. I think the best one is “In The Lee” – a multi-layered gem. But my favourite is “Days End”; you really nailed it. Any climber would relate to that one; touch of “Blue Remembered Hills” in there but much more personal and much less pretentious. Catherine thinks they are very sad – they make me want to start smoking again. Well done for leaving a scratch on posterity’s stone-blank face.”

Your stuff (poetry) is much more original and much more connected to the human species and much stronger as a result – mine is after the event, yours is in it. Catherine thinks your poetry is much better…
