Taff Down Under 2

Hi guys, just another up-date from down under!

Nothing much to report this week, as both LeeAnne and me have been under the weather, or "crook" as the colourful local colloquialism would have it. This did mean however that I wasn't abandoned with Bethy, in fact LeeAnne's mum, whipped her away to some friends place down on the shore near Bateman's Bay. This is a lovely spot that us three spent a week at, on my first visit. Bethy got to go horse riding down there so she was chuffed.

LeeAnne and me just spent the week feeling sorry for ourselves, and feeling each other. So not all bad then.

We perked up a bit by Saturday, so the three of us went to Questacon. Fantastic place, though I had to be dragged away from the "demon-drop" slide kicking and screaming.

After some time there, we then went down to the main lake and had a picnic, yup it's still scorching here. We sat by the side of the lake, and watched the black swans, and Bethy fed the ducks. The fountain was going, as was the Carillon. So it was all rather lovely.

"A gift from the British Government in 1963 to mark Canberra's 50th Anniversary. Its 53 bells are tuned over 4.5 octaves and provide a nice musical diversion while the tourist enjoys a little rest after the long walk from Commonwealth Park."

So now you know!

Last night we went to a "pizza-party" at some friends of LeeAnnes. The host provides the bases and the tomato & cheese, and everybody else brings a few toppings to share. Of course being the only vege's there meant that we had to take more than our fair share, and of course everybody said "OOOh! that looks nice, mind if I try some?" Hrrmph….

A bit of good news, I have a job_interview on Thursday, wish me luck! It's working with "adolescents with drug and alcohol problems," and before you reply with the usual half witticisms, I know that title applies to me.

Well next week me and Bethy are alone, and so I'm trying to get her interested in doing some constructive stuff, like painting the garden fence. If I'm very good, we are going to one of Canberra's indoor climbing walls, and one day we're going for a picnic at Ginaderra falls. Nice.

I've just finished my first roll of film off, so you lucky bastards are going to get piccies with these mails soon.

Please keep up your replies to these mails, I've been snowed under with happy mails from the UK. Have I fuck as like, you miserable bastards, WRITE!!
